Editorial Policy
This page describes the production philosophy behind every piece of content on SemaVatansever.com: what we write and why, how we prepare it, and which lines we never cross.
How we choose and prepare content
We select topics by a single measure: genuine usefulness to the reader. We cover a subject because it is frequently asked about, widely misunderstood, or answers a practical need; never merely because it would attract clicks. Before publication, every piece goes through the same steps: research in reliable sources, drafting, verification of factual statements against those sources, and a final read for tone and limits. Which sources we consider reliable is set out in our Source and Evidence Policy.
Accuracy comes before certainty
We do not sharpen a claim to make it more attractive. Where the science is unsettled, we say so openly; where we are not sure of a figure, we write "approximately"; we never present a single study as established knowledge. Invented statistics, non-existent studies and unfounded attributions to institutions have no place on this site. Neither does the language of exaggerated promises: "miracle", "guaranteed results" and "certain outcome" do not appear in our content.
Our principles of tone
We offer readers options, not lectures. Our language is calm, explanatory and non-judgemental: we do not publish wording that belittles bodies, eating habits, fitness levels or beliefs. Fear and guilt are not persuasion tools on this site. We simplify technical subjects without distorting them; where simplification would make information false, we keep the detail. Health-related content follows additional rules, set out in our Health Content and Nutrition and Body-Language policies.
Editorial independence
Reader benefit drives our content decisions; commercial relationships do not. The site currently carries no advertising and no sponsored content; if that ever changes, such material will be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content. When a product or service is named, it is for illustration, and we receive nothing in return. Details are in our Advertising and Conflicts Policy.
When we get something wrong
Care reduces mistakes; it does not eliminate them. When we discover a factual error, or one is reported to us, we correct the content and note corrections that affect meaning. A working version
This policy is a working version. As our editorial processes mature, we will update this page and note significant changes here. If you encounter a situation this policy fails to cover, we would be glad to hear about it.
