This assessment makes your position in those areas visible: where are you, which habit is already in place, and which one is still waiting? How private are my results, and who can see them?
Your answers are processed only in your own browser and are not sent to a server. The result screen is yours alone; when you close the page, the assessment ends.
Which habit should I take up first?
The two steps with the highest impact are usually these: turning on two-factor authentication for critical accounts (email, banking), and moving to a password manager that makes a separate password for every account possible. Those two neutralise the greater part of common attack scenarios.
My score came out low; am I at risk?
A low score is not a danger notice but a map of priorities. Habits build up over time; taking on a single area each week changes the profile visibly within a few months.
Isn’t using antivirus software enough?
Security software is only one of the layers. A significant share of today’s attacks exploit not software vulnerabilities but human behaviour — weak passwords, phishing links — which is why habits are at least as decisive as software.
Method and formula
The tool offers a set of questions covering the basic areas of security: password habits and the use of a password manager, two-factor authentication, software updates, backup routines, awareness of phishing, and device locking. Your answers are scored by area, and the result is presented less as a single overall mark than as a profile spread across areas: which are strong, and which are open to improvement. How to read the result
The profile is not an exam report; an area that looks “open to improvement” is usually not negligence but a practice nobody ever showed you. When reading the result, focusing on the one or two weakest areas is more effective than trying to fix everything at once; adding two-factor authentication to critical accounts first, for example, is a single step that markedly reduces your risk. Repeating the assessment a few months later to see the change is motivating too.
Limits
- The assessment relies on self-report; it does not scan your devices technically and cannot detect real vulnerabilities.
- The questions are written around common individual scenarios; they do not cover the requirements of corporate environments.
- A high score is no guarantee that you will not be attacked; security is the business of reducing probabilities.
- As technology changes, so do good practices; the profile reflects the common recommendations of today.
