Files, Cloud and Backups
This module deals with the order and safety of your digital life: making your files findable, managing versions, understanding synchronisation properly and setting up a real backup routine. Its most important sentence can be said up front: synchronisation is not a backup.

Order and safety go together
File loss comes in two forms: the file is truly gone, or it exists somewhere but cannot be found. The second is far more common than the first. That is why this module starts with order: knowing where you save things, telling versions apart. Then it moves to the protective layer: it draws the line between the convenience of synchronisation and the assurance of backup, and builds the 3-2-1 routine that will save you on the day loss actually strikes.
The order of the lessons
The module moves in four steps. File and Folder Organisation builds the basic skeleton. File Versions keeps you from getting lost among copies of the same document. Synchronisation shows what cloud syncing does and does not do. Backup and Restore completes the module with the 3-2-1 rule. From there you can move on to the Account and Device Security module.
